When I started listening to Collective Soul in 1993, I never imagined that one day I would get to “work” with Ross Childress, their former guitarist extraordinaire. I volunteered to do some promotional materials and social media interactions for Ross and had a ball!

I’ll never forget the first time I saw Ross Childress play at The Tabernacle in Atlanta. It’s a small enough venue that I was close enough, I could see his fingers move. The sound was amazing and I was hooked! He fast became my absolute favorite guitarist! The day he left Collective Soul in 2002, I actually cried. But since Ross lives in Atlanta, when he turned to his solo career, I began following his awesome new material. Now, I am fortunate that he still plays locally, and I have the opportunity to see him play live on occasion. That is when he’s not busy producing records for other aspiring musical talent as well recording his own material.

It is blessing in life when what you love to do professionally intersects with what you do for play. For me that is web design, marketing, promotion, and social media. And working on web design and all things marketing and promotion IS play for me. Nothing I’d rather be doing. Working with Ross Childress was one of the many highlights. It was all for fun and amazing!
